KSI Pulls Out Of Fight With Dillon Danis Just 8 Days Before The Event!

KSI has officially called off his highly anticipated fight with Dillon Danis, which was originally scheduled for March 29th. The content creator, whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, shared the news via a video on social media, explaining the reasons behind the decision. He mentioned that his health had severely impacted his ability to continue training, ultimately forcing him to cancel the bout.

KSI’s Health Struggles

In the video, Olajide Olatunji revealed that he had been suffering from an illness for almost three weeks. He described experiencing a range of symptoms, including severe sinus pain, constant coughing, and headaches that were becoming increasingly difficult to manage. Despite his best efforts to push through the illness and continue training, KSI admitted that his body had reached its limit.

“I’ve been ill for almost three weeks, and it’s just not getting better. My body has legit just given up,” Olajide Olatunji explained. He also revealed that his sense of taste and smell had been affected, adding to the frustration of not being able to perform at his usual level.

Apologies and Frustration

Olajide Olatunji expressed his frustration and disappointment at having to postpone the fight. He apologized to his team at Misfits Boxing, DAZN, and his fans, acknowledging that he hadn’t been able to fully participate in promoting the event or train as hard as he wanted to. He also apologized to the Sidemen, his popular YouTube group, for not being as active in videos due to his health struggles.

“It’s depressing, and I hate it,” he said, emphasizing how difficult it had been for him to deal with such a prolonged illness. However, Olajide Olatunji reassured his fans that he was determined to recover and reschedule the fight.

Misfits Boxing Postpones the Event

Misfits Boxing, the organization behind the event, also confirmed the postponement in a statement. They stated that due to KSI’s ongoing illness, the “Unfinished Business” event, which was meant to take place on March 29th in Manchester, would be rescheduled. The company assured fans that a new date for the fight would be announced soon.

Looking Ahead: A New Fight Date

Despite the setback, KSI made it clear that he still intended to face Dillon Danis in the ring. “I want to move the fight to another day because I still want to knock out Dillon Danis,” he said, showing his determination to get back into the ring once he fully recovers.

This marks the latest chapter in KSI’s boxing journey, which has seen its ups and downs. After a controversial loss to Tommy Fury in October 2023, this would have been KSI’s opportunity to make a strong comeback. Fans are hopeful that the fight will be rescheduled soon, and KSI’s return to the ring remains highly anticipated.
