Kylie Kelce’s Baby Name Reveal Comes with Laughs!
Kylie Kelce, a mother of four and wife to NFL star Jason Kelce, recently shared an adorable and light-hearted update on her newborn daughter’s name. Two days after giving birth to their fourth child, Kylie recorded a fresh episode of her podcast, Not Gonna Lie, while holding her tiny baby in her arms. The fact that she managed to pull this off while adjusting to life with a newborn left many fans in awe.
The Kelces’ newest addition, a baby girl, has been named Finnley “Finn” Anne Kelce, a name that Kylie has humorously joked about, even before fans could react. Let’s take a closer look at her playful take on motherhood, baby names, and her newest family member.
The Naming Journey: A Humorous Twist
Kylie made sure to have a bit of fun with her daughter’s name, immediately poking fun at herself for not sticking to the pattern. The couple has three older daughters—Wyatt (5), Elliotte (4), and Bennett (2)—and they had always stuck to a pattern of names with double letters. However, their new baby girl broke the trend, leading Kylie to joke on the podcast, “If we don’t have two Ts, it’s okay, and she’s still one of us.” She added, “We had a good warning; no two Ts for her!”

It turns out that the naming process wasn’t as smooth as you might think. It took the Kelces a full 24 hours after Finnley’s birth to settle on a name. Kylie shared, “We had an idea. We had discussed names with anyone that we could trust not to share names, and we didn’t go with a single option that we had been discussing.” It seems that picking a name for their little one was a much more challenging task than they anticipated!
“Baby Girl Kelce” Almost Happened
Before landing on Finnley, the Kelces actually considered calling their daughter “Baby Girl Kelce.” Kylie laughed at the thought, saying, “I considered just letting that one roll. It was gonna be a very, like, Phoebe from Friends moment of like, ‘Oh, you named her Baby Girl.’” It’s clear that Kylie doesn’t take herself too seriously and loves making light of the situation.
By the time they left the hospital, the couple had only decided on their baby’s middle name—Anne. Kylie didn’t hold back on poking fun at the name, calling it “the most generic middle name you could possibly have.” She added, “I love that I’m just roasting myself.” Despite the joke, she explained that the name Anne had deep personal significance, honoring several important women in her life, including her mother, paternal grandmother, and sister.
Close Calls and Some Nearly Chosen Names
As with most parents-to-be, the Kelces considered a few other names before settling on Finnley. Names like Colette, which would have been shortened to Cole, and Georgie were thrown around, but ultimately they weren’t a perfect fit. Kylie humorously shared, “I didn’t like anything that got us to Georgie.”
Interestingly, one name that almost made the cut was Winifred. However, Kylie clarified that it wasn’t inspired by their late dog, Winnie. “That is not the name of our dead dog!” Kylie laughed. “Her name was Winnie, and we had plans to call the baby Freddie because I think a little girl named Freddie has to be, like, so badass and so cute.”
Kylie’s Honest Thoughts on Baby Names
Kylie seems fully aware that everyone will have an opinion about the name she chose for her baby. In a respectful yet firm tone, she made it clear: “I totally respect your opinion on the names of our children. You’re allowed to have your own opinion, but I actually don’t care what it is. And I mean that in the most, like, loving and respectful way.” She continued, “She’s very much a Finn. Like, she’s a cute, little Finn.”

The couple had actually considered the name Finn for their second daughter, Elliotte, so it wasn’t a new idea. The name had simply been waiting for the right moment.
Uncle Travis Approves
It seems like the entire Kelce family is on board with Finnley’s name, as even Uncle Travis, Jason’s brother, reacted positively. On their New Heights podcast, Travis enthusiastically said, “Finn Anne, that’s adorable!” before giving his new niece a sweet nickname: “Hey, little muffin! Look at you.”
A Family Full of Love and Laughter
Despite the early challenges of naming their newest member, it’s clear that the Kelces are full of love and humor when it comes to parenting. From Kylie’s jokes about baby names to their fun approach to life with four kids, it’s evident that this family knows how to keep things lighthearted while cherishing every moment.
Kylie’s playful commentary and heartfelt reflections show that, while parenting is certainly no easy feat, a little laughter and a sense of humor can go a long way in making the journey enjoyable. Finnley Anne Kelce might have a simple name, but she’s already bringing a world of joy and laughter to her family.
