Jack Fincham Walks Free After Winning Appeal Against His Sentence!

A Victory for Jack Fincham

Jack Fincham, the Love Island star, has successfully avoided prison after appealing his earlier sentence for dangerous dog related offences. Fincham had been sentenced to six weeks in jail earlier this year but was released from court today, March 21, after the appeal. Instead of serving time, Jack Fincham now faces an extension of his suspended sentence order.

Dangerous Dog Offences

In the original hearing, Jack Fincham admitted to two counts of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog. The charges stemmed from two incidents involving his black Cane Corso, named Elvis. In the first incident, which occurred in September 2022, Elvis bit a runner, causing an injury to his arm. The second incident occurred in June 2024, when the dog grabbed a woman’s leg, though she wasn’t injured.

Appeal and Court Outcome

After being sentenced to jail in January, Fincham quickly filed an appeal. The appeal was heard in court today, where Judge Samantha Leigh ruled that the activation of Fincham’s suspended sentence for a separate driving-related matter was not justified under the circumstances. Instead of prison time, Fincham received a three-month extension to the operational period of his suspended sentence order.

Details of the Original Sentence

In March 2023, Fincham had received a suspended sentence for an unrelated driving incident. This included charges of drug driving and fraudulent use of a registration mark. As part of his original sentence for the dangerous dog charges, Fincham was ordered to pay £3,680, which included a £2,000 contribution to kenneling costs, a £961 fine, and £200 in compensation to the runner, Robert Sudell.

A Word of Caution

Judge Leigh issued a stern warning to Fincham, urging him to be very careful going forward. The reality star, who won Love Island in 2018, will now need to abide by the terms of his extended suspended sentence and avoid any further legal issues.

A Second Chance

While Fincham has avoided a prison sentence, his legal troubles are far from over. The extension of his suspended sentence serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to court orders and the consequences of not doing so. Hopefully, Fincham will take this opportunity to turn things around and stay out of further legal issues.
